When persons who are from non-marginalized groups use their power and privilege to support those who are marginalized through various forms of support, it bodes well for the circumstances for marginalised people.
These Allyship circles are communities of persons who are willing to provide this type of support for BIPOC. Below are some of the central features of BIPOC allyship:
1. We listen to and honour the lived experiences of BIPOC.
2. We speak up against various forms of racial injustice and microaggressions.
3. We encourage other non-marginalized folks to examine the ways they perpetuate harm against BIPOC.
These circles will be led by seasoned allies and honour many of the features noted above.
